About the 1979 Club

The 1979 Club is designed as a convenient and cost-effective way to support the Theta-Pi chapter of Alpha Tau Omega at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Operated independently from the Alpha Tau Omega National Fraternity and managed by the Theta-Pi Board of Trustees, the 1979 Club uses your financial support to offset the chapter's financial needs and to enrich the alumni experience. The Theta-Pi chapter of Alpha Tau Omega was founded on February 3, 1979, with the goal of establishing a True Merit chapter and fostering lifelong brotherhood among its members. In 2016, the 1979 Club was created to provide financial support to the chapter, its alumni, and the community through affordable monthly donations of $19.79 per member.
